Changes

Quick, which is really yellow? The butter or the corn?

Hello everyone!

Weather changes. Seasons. People. Fashions. What doesn't change, really, except our moral core? And I read things that make me wonder if even that is up for grabs once in a while!

There's a saying that "The only constant is change."

Churchill said that there is "nothing wrong with change if it's in the right direction."

Just doodling around, I find I am going in new directions, wanting to experiment, explore. Show some of the things I usually just keep to myself...

But you know the song, I'm sure. One day, just like every day, everything is the same.

And suddenly you turn a corner and there it is.

Blooming all over the place, threatening to overtake everything around you, even you ... then you realize, it's not a threat.

It's a promise.
Metamorphosis.
Take care!
Candace

I love your ladies Candace. I like that second girl in particular-the way she is changing. She looks lion like somehow. I love the label for this post too! I have some metallic watercolours which I bought in a really cheap shop-they are lovely. More art supplies that look like make up!

Hi Candace,
I was looking for that quoite the other week: 'The only constant is change.'
Lovely ladies! And well done for showing them to us. It is difficult to do that isn't it? Knowing how much we want to reveal of ourselves.
I've spent the best part of the morning looking up art journal on the net. I think it is something I could get into.
Have a productive weekend.

Very cool artwork, Miss Candace! I'm loving it all! ... I'm with you. Sometimes I wonder if our morals are going down the tubes. There's so much garbage on TV these days, I can't believe what I see lots of the time. It's the stuff that's aimed towards the younger set, that's troubling. My sons, 25 and 22, keep telling me how things are not the same as when I was younger...come on, I graduated high school in 1977, that wasn't exactly like living in Mayberry, but these days, there's a lot more gore, fighting, and waaaay too much so called "reality". Actually, I think we could all use a good dose of Andy Griffith! I'll get off my soap box now.
...You know, I'm NOT going to get corn on the cob out of my head now until I have some! YUM!!! Hugs, Paulette ;)

Candace, what lovely things you've done with these ladies. Covet the one lady's skirt and the background papers are yummy. The lady with a face singing on her face is lively and fresh! The singing mouth is perfect! So realistic. I can't remember if I commented on your comment. Yes, I work for the Freemasons, at the Masonic Grand Lodge of Oregon. One of their biggest goals is supporting public education and children. That's what the conference was about: how to help children. - Jeanne

So true! Change is inevitable. How would we grow otherwise.
