Almost Here!

And I don't mean just the SHRINE DAY FOR LABOR DAY gimmick.

Well, okay, okay -- that too. But let’s be honest. If you’re like me, sometimes you get a little “Sick of Pink”

and bright perky rooms and décor, perfect hairdos on perfect people wearing perfect “too-cute” clothing. After a while, you need something totally different to keep you going, hold your attention and make you smile --.

Well then, might I suggest you actually consider embracing that change? How about mysterious soft music and crisp cool air with apple cider and fun games like bobbing for apples? Might I suggest orange, and golden tones, deep green and garnet and – HALLOWEEN?

I would really like to do more than simply suggest and instead highly recommend going
HERE and then, checking out THIS and finally on Labor Day proper, along with the Shrine Day For Labor Day Holiday On Ice gimmick, I will pop in a fun giveaway from a rather well known and respected artisan to boot. Fun stuff you’re sure to love as we count down to My National Holiday!

Look at my compost pile which did not overall accomplish much gardenwise, but today, of course…

That's Nature for you, isn't it? That Gal does what she wants, when she wants. And like it or not, that's (usually) a good thing.

Take care and check back Monday -- oh yes, and

I love the look on their faces! She is more than just a little sick of pink I feel! I am joining in the hallowen fun at a fanciful twist-that is if I have anything finished(or even started) by then.
That is a sweet little flower on your compost heap. I went back to wrok today and all our tomatoes are ripe and the sunflowers are beautiful-exciting mother nature!
Have a good weekend!

I intensly dislike pink. And you know, my hair looks like that most days. I am hanging out for Halloween. I need all of my black things back and out on proud display.

Need to spend time with the first link.

And yes, nature is amazing if we only take the time to look at it all, large or very small things ; )

Er, never tried pink, but never seemed to look nice on anyone to me ; ( Not even in the old crayon box.

Hi Candace,
Thanks for stopping by my blog (and posting!) NOW I know which Athens. :) I didn't THINK you hailed all the way from Greece, but it DID cross my mind (Blogland has very blurry borders). Hee hee!

I will have to stop by again... I'm sure you will have a Halloween count down. If not, you should!

Hi and thanks everyone! It's always good to hear from the Peeps.
Yes I am hard at work on my Shrine but it's slow going between work and that danged cough that keeps hanging on to me.

SummersStudio AND Nathalie, I will be indeed counting down starting October 1st for Halloween, and thanks, Anne, for the MeMe award!

Coffee Messiah, it was that Crayon Box pink that turned me against that colour to be honest.

Hope all is well and to echo Sarah, don't forget to check out A Fanciful Twist for the fun!

Hi Candace! I loved all your color suggestions, even though I'm a pink girl through and through. I don't think I could ever get sick of it, but I'm not crazy about neon pink, or that "crayon box pink" either! Loved the two little peeks, the spooky one, and that old photo was just great! Those clothes would make great costumes now!!! My oldest son was born on Halloween, so it's extra special over here!... Wow! Mother Nature gave you quite a beautiful surprise. What a beauty, and that ferny foliage is gorgeous! Hope you're feeling better, and I can't wait to see your shrine! Hugs, Paulette

Thanks, Paulette.
Back to the quack for me. I just can't shake the hack and low grade fever.
Hey, you are up to some great stuff as well and I appreciate your visit!
Take care.
